About the Event
A few days before the start of WWII Secret Intelligence Service spymaster Thomas Kendrick arrived at the Tower of London to trial a top secret operation: German prisoners' cells were to be bugged and listeners installed behind the walls to record and transcribe their private conversations. This is the story of that operation and others at sites such as Wilton Park and Latimer House that provided vital wartime intelligence. The talk will be given by researcher and author Dr Helen Fry.
